What is TOTAL Trust
Zero Trust, a security model introduced by John Kindervag in 2010, serves as a brilliant foundational principal for enterprises seeking to design and strengthen their cybersecurity infrastructure. The rise of cloud computing effectively dismantled the traditional “walled castle” approach to network and application security, ushering in an era of deperimeterization.
Our work in industry has revealed that overworked and underpaid enterprise security officers often have short job tenures because of burn-out and current products in the market that do not prevent breaches. Despite significant investments in a growing array of tools and costly SOC services, breaches have become commonplace and unfortunately, the good guys are losing the battle to the bad guys (e.g. a young hacker with AI tools, state actors).
The paradigm change from a walled castle model of security to Zero Trust was appropriate as computing changed from server rooms to the cloud. TruU now presents TOTAL Trust – only deploy infrastructure that has the promise of MTTD = 0 and MTTR = 0.
TruU is proud to advance the Zero Trust model and raise the bar further.
TOTAL Trust represents our vision of a future where only platforms capable of MTTD = 0 and MTTR = 0 are deployed – ensuring real-time trust and remediation across the enterprise.
We believe that neither endpoint nor network-level event examiners will ever achieve this goal. Traditional approaches focus too narrowly – like looking through a microscope at an event – while TOTAL takes a telescopic view of the person before it looks at the event. TOTAL understands the broader context before diving into individual events. TOTAL significantly reduces false alerts that inflate SOC and MSSPs costs. TOTAL enhances enterprise security posture by preventing breaches.
The paradigm shift from a traditional walled castle model of security to Zero Trust was both necessary and timely as computing evolved from server rooms to the cloud.
